Excitement As DESOPADEC Finance Director Restores Electricity To Delta Community

Residents of Igun Community Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State went ecstatic recently as the Executive Director of Finance and Administration of the Delta State Oil and Gas Producing Areas Development Commission, (DESOPADEC), Chief John Obukohwo Nani, facilitated the restoration of electricity in the community.
As a show of appreciation, the Igun Community sent a delegation to applaud for the swiftness with which Chief Nani went about restoring electricity to the community.
Spokesperson of the community, Comrade Wilson Egbri, informed Chief Nani that they were on the visit to show appreciation to him for urgently responding to their needs by fixing their broken down transformer when they were in total darkness.
He explained that when they were in dire need of electricity and were in darkness, no one came to their rescue, but Chief Nani.
They said it was Nani, popularly known as Awemutuwewi of Idjerhe Kingdom, who felt their pains by responding swiftly to their need.
Leader of the delegation, Chief Solomon Chokor, showered prayers on Chief Nani for God’s protection, guide and blessing over his entire family so he can do more for his people.
Chief Nani, who was elated for the honour accorded him by Igun people, assured them that with God on his side, he would continue to do more for his them.
He urged them to pray for him to succeed on his Senatorial ambition come 2023 so that the entire Urhobo nation would be fully represented.
Other members of the delegation from Igun community included, the vice President-General of Igun Community, Sir James Agbogo, Chief Solomon Chokor, Comrade Wilson Egbri, Chief Awunuketa Tega, Prince Igbinoba, Chief Eyetan Ovoke, aka Agege, and Sir James Oyovwike Agbogun.
