THE family and friends of Pastor (Mrs) Denise Yetunde Adurokiya gathered, on Thursday, for the Service of Songs at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Peculiar Peoples Parish, Oyo Province 18 Headquarters, located at No. 6, Akintoba Street, behind Agbowo Shopping Complex, Agbowo, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Recall that Pastor (Mrs) Adurokiya, wife of Nigerian Tribune Newspaper Correspondent in Delta, Mr Ebenezer Adurokiya, passed on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the age of 51.

The Service of Songs, which drew a large congregation, began with praise and worship led by the Province’s choristers, and followed by hymns and testimonies of the deceased.
The first Bible Reading was taken from Revelation 7:9-17 and read by Princess Denise Adurokiya’s daughter, Sharon DideOluwa Adurokiya, while the second Bible Reading Matthew 24:22 was taken by Omotayo Ajayi, a niece of the deceased’s husband.

Her bereaved husband, Mr Ebenezer Adurokiya, led a special number in songs to celebrate the transition of his beloved wife.
In attendance were the Pastor-in-Charge of Province (PICP), Pastor Bamidele Adeniji, APICP Admin, Pastor Peter Olatunbosun and other top pastors across provinces under RCCG Region 42 in Oyo State.
Editor, Saturday Tribune, Dr Lasisi Olagunju, and Deputy Editor Sam Nwoko, represented the Nigerian Tribune at the event.
Representing the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council were the chairman, Comrade Churchill Oyowe, and Comrades Samuel Ogude and Comrade Kelvin Onyeka Meluwa who represented the Warri Correspondents Chapel.

The Burial Church Service will hold tomorrow, Friday, December 06, at the same venue by 10:00a.m.
Internment will follow immediately at the African Church Cemetery, Oke Itunu, Mokola, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Pastor (Mrs) Adurokiya is survived by her husband, daughter, siblings, relatives, and well-wishers.
She was a staff member of the Post Graduate College (PGC) of the University of Ibadan.
