SAMUEL Eto’o has been banned for six months by the world football governing body, FIFA, for breach of Disciplinary Code.
Stonix News reports that the FECAFOOT boss, has been handed a six-month suspension by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee.
The ban, announced on September 30, 2024, comes in response to Eto’o’s breach of FIFA’s Disciplinary Code, specifically articles 13 and 14, which deal with offensive behavior and misconduct by players and officials.
The incident that led to this sanction occurred during the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup round of 16 match between Brazil and Cameroon on September 11, 2024.
The ban prevents Eto’o from attending any matches involving FECAFOOT teams, including men’s and women’s teams across all age categories.
Eto’o was formally notified of the decision on the day the ban took effect, limiting his presence at key football events for the foreseeable future.
