Foremost Nigeria’s Professor Of Medicine Passes

A foremost Professor of Medicine from the Northern part of Nigeria, Umaru Shehu, has passed.

The Professor Emeritus Umaru Shehu CON, CFR was born 8 December, 1930.

Umaru, who passed on Monday October 2, 2023 was a distinguished Nigerian Professor of Medicine who had held significant positions in several universities.

They included the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Ahmadu Bello University, and the University of Maiduguri.

The professor was also the chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria (IHVN).
