THE Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of 632,788 candidates who sat for the first day of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The examination body confirmed that candidates can now access their scores by sending the word “UTMERESULT” via SMS to either 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number they registered with.
JAMB clarified that only result viewing is available at this stage, and the printing of result slips has not yet been enabled.
Candidates have been advised to exercise patience as the board continues to release more results following the ongoing marking process.
However, the board has issued a stern warning against any attempt to manipulate or falsify results, stressing that offenders will face the full weight of the law.
With the examination still underway, additional results will be released in batches as marking progresses.
Candidates are urged to check their results only through the official SMS channel and to disregard any third-party platforms claiming to offer result assistance.
