THE Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has praised Senator John Azuta Mbata, a former representative of Rivers East Senatorial District at the National Assembly, as an exceptional and principled leader who has consistently stood for truth and the interests of Rivers State.
Governor Fubara expressed these sentiments during a visit to Senator Mbata on his 65th birthday at the senator’s residence on Nwanuna Street, Mgbuoba Community, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, on Friday.

Describing Senator Mbat as a man of integrity and unwavering commitment to justice, Governor Fubara said: “We appreciate your steadfast support for Rivers State. It takes a person of great character to remain resolute, especially in a state like ours.

“You have always stood for the truth and demonstrated it for the benefit of our people. We value your contributions.”
The Governor further pledged continued collaboration, saying, “We will continue to work together to ensure that Rivers State reaches its Promised Land.”

Praising Senator Mbata’s humility despite his wealth, both inherited and self-made, Governor Fubara remarked, “It is no surprise that everyone who interacts with you has positive things to say.

“I wish you good health and abundant blessings. Like David in the Bible, may you continue to be honoured, even in old age.”
The Governor also extended his prayers to the family, adding: “May God’s blessings, which bring no sorrow, remain with you.
“To the family, your father has lived an exemplary life, one of honour and reputation.
“May his legacy inspire his children to make him even proder.”
