CALIFORNIA Police Department are investigating a helicopter crash that happened after a failed theft attempt overnight at the Sacramento Executive Airport.
Officers received several calls from an undisclosed witness in the early hours of Wednesday, about multiple attempts from suspected thieves, trying to break into helicopters, Sacramento Police Department said.
When officers arrived at the airport, they saw a helicopter that had crashed and sustained major damage, but no injuries were reported.
“Nobody is in custody at this time.
“This investigation is in its early stages, and this information is preliminary as detectives work to learn exactly what occurred,” Police said
