Arsenal have been crowned Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years after Manchester City failed to beat Bournemouth on Tuesday evening, sparking wild celebrations across north London.

Gunners for life!!
City, who had won six of the previous eight titles, needed a victory to cut Arsenal’s lead to just two points and take the race to the final day of the season. But a first-half strike from Bournemouth’s Junior Kroupi in the 39th minute put the visitors ahead, and despite Erling Haaland’s stoppage-time equaliser, Pep Guardiola’s side could not find the winner they so desperately required.
The result means Arsenal hold an unassailable lead at the top of the table. Mikel Arteta’s side will now travel to Crystal Palace on Sunday for a purely celebratory final-day fixture.
It is Arsenal’s 14th English top-flight title – placing them behind only Liverpool and Manchester United, who have 20 each – and their first since the famous 2003-04 season when Arsène Wenger’s “Invincibles” went the entire league campaign undefeated.
The north London club have finished as runners-up in each of the past three seasons, enduring years of near-misses under Arteta. This triumph marks a remarkable turnaround for a side that has grown into one of Europe’s most formidable outfits.
Adding to the sense of history, Arsenal have also reached the Champions League final, where they will face Paris Saint-Germain on May 30. Victory in that tie would make them European champions for the first time and complete what would unquestionably be the greatest season in the club’s 140-year history.
Fans gathered outside the Emirates Stadium late into the night, with chants of “Arteta’s at the wheel” and “We’ve got our Arsenal back” echoing through Islington.
