Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting
SKELETON of a man has been found in the bedroom of his house after four years of incommunicado in Apete, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Stonix News gathered that neighbours stumbled on the corpse of the deceased identified as John Aderemi Abiola.
The neighbours claimed the last time they saw him was four years ago during one of his occasional trip to Ibadan from Port Harcourt in Rivers State where he was residing then.
As of the time of filing the report, the cause of death is yet to be ascertained.
Residents told newsmen that none of the residents in the area knew about the incident until this week when the community decided to enter into the compound to cut the overgrown shrub which has become a haven for snakes and rodents.
It was further gathered that the workers from the North, who were contracted for the job of cutting the grass in the deceased compound, were told to scale into the fence into the compound since the gate was under lock and key.
In doing so, the men beheld the car of the landlord in the premises which has been covered with grass.
A witness said after cutting down the bush, they peeped through the window of the building and saw the skeleton of a decomposed corpse on his bed with a phone in his hand.
Stonix News reports that officers of the Oyo State Police Command are currently carrying out a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
