Husband Kills Wife Over Burnt Food

ONE Nkeruewen Etuk has snuffed life out of his wife for allegedly burning the food she was cooking for him in the kitchen.

The 54-year-old man, who has been arrested, was paraded at the Cross River State Police Command.

The suspect revealed that he killed his wife because the lady carelessly burnt his food, and rice and almost set their apartment on fire.

Etuk, however, disclosed that he did not actually set out to kill his wife, Esther Ndereke, until anger took the better part of him.

He alleged that the lady almost burnt down the house while cooking rice, being the genesis of the scuffle that led to the tragedy.
