CHAIRMAN of the Cubana Group, Chief Obinna Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana, has publicly declared his commitment to Christianity, describing the decision as a deeply personal and life-changing moment.
The businessman made the revelation during a conversation with Pastor Jerry Eze, where he spoke candidly about his resolve to fully embrace the Christian faith.
He described himself as a new person in Christ and expressed a strong desire for spiritual growth.
“I am a new creature in Christ, a human after Christ. I have given my life to Christ. This was my personal decision. Nobody prompted me,” he said.
Obi Cubana disclosed that he has committed himself to regular church attendance and intentional spiritual development, noting that he is eager to deepen his understanding of God and live by Christian values.
He explained that his decision to make the declaration public was deliberate, describing it as a statement of faith and a means of accountability.
“I will be going to church every Sunday. I want to grow in the knowledge of God. I believe God will use me to lead many people to Christ. God has given me influence, especially among the youth,” he added.
Confirming the development, Pastor Jerry Eze said arrangements had been made for Obi Cubana’s discipleship and spiritual guidance, expressing confidence that he would grow steadily in faith and positively impact lives, particularly among young people.
Addressing critics, Obi Cubana urged them to respect his decision and remain positive, stating that he looks forward to using his influence to promote faith, hope and positive values.
