THE identity of a surfer who was reportedly killed by a shark in Hawaii has been revealed by authorities.
Jason Carter, 39, according to reports, died on Saturday after he was attacked by a shark at a beach near Paia, north side of Maui.
In a statement, Maui County said that Carter was taken from the water by jet ski after 11 a.m. and given lifesaving measures by first responders until paramedics arrived to take him to the Maui Memorial Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
Carter’s friends and families, after he was pronounced dead, took to Facebook to pay tributes to him.
