Irate Mob Burns Down School Where 5-yr-old Was Killed In Kano

An rate mob on Sunday midnight burnt down Noble Kids Academy, Kwanar Dakata where five-year-old Hanifa Abubakar was killed and buried by the proprietor of the school, Abdulmalik Tanko.

Feelers have it that the angry mob who stormed the shut school premises and set fire on the structures.

Stonix News reports that the upper part of the building was completely burnt down by the unknown persons.

It was also learnt that security personnel deployed outside the school premises were not at the scene when the aggrieved persons stormed the area.

Meanwhile, some residents of Dakata area in Nasarwawa Local Government Area of Kano where the Noble Kids Academy, Kwanar Dakata, is located, have condemned the burning down of the school as the building does not belong to the school, killer-proprietor.

It was gathered that it took the frantic effort of residents of the area and members of the State Fire Service to put out the fire.

Eyewitnesses said that the brutal fallout of the murder of Hanifa and the attendant angst must have led to the reprisal attack.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Kano State Command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, has not responded to the incident.

Meanwhile, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, the Senator representing Kano Central has vowed to personally pursue the murder case of Hanifa to ensure justice is served.

Former Kano State governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has also assured the family of Hanifa, of justice, saying such heartless murder must not be swept under the carpet.
