By GUINNESS World Records (GWR) has confirmed that Nigerian chef and former record holder, Hilda Bassey, popularly known as Hilda Baci, has achieved a new milestone by preparing the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.
In a post shared on X on Monday, GWR announced: “New record: Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria .”
Hilda accomplished the remarkable feat on Saturday in partnership with food brand Gino, cooking 200 bags of Basmati rice in a massive pot before a jubilant crowd in Victoria Island, Lagos.
