JUST IN: Ogori Mourns, As Dr. Mosugu, SAN, Passes, Laid To Rest


The sleepy town of Ogori community in Kogi State has been into a mourning mode as one of its luminous elite, Dr Samuel Etu Mosugu, SAN, has passed. 

Dr Mosugu, a revered figure across Kogi State and beyond, was the Otaro Igoli-Udeji of Ogori land and former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in old Kwara State.

Details of when he passed were still sketchy as of press time, but he was reportedly laid to rest in a solemn ceremony.

Renowned for his immense contributions to the legal profession and his leadership within Ogori land, Dr. Mosugu’s legacy extends beyond his legal expertise.

He was widely respected for his intellectual achievements, including authoring a book that interpreted the 1999 Nigerian Constitution, showcasing his deep understanding of the law.

He’s also an author to some controversial books on the history and culture of the Ogori people.

Dr. Mosugu’s dedication to service, wisdom, and commitment to justice have left an indelible mark on the nation.

His passing is a loss to the legal community, the people of Ogori people, Kogi State, and the entire country.
