By FOUR years after Muhammadu Sanusi II was deposed as the Emir of Kano, Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has reinstated him to the throne of his forebears.
Governor Yusuf made the announcement on Thursday after signing a bill dissolving five emirate councils created in 2019 in the state into law.
The Kano State House of Assembly has, on Thursday, passed the Kano Emirates Council Law (Repeal Bill) 2024, invariably abolishing and reverting the five new emirates created by the former Kano state Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’ to single emirate system.
