PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has booted out five ministers in his bloated cabinet with immediate effect.
The affected ministers included Mrs Uju-Ken Ohanenye, Minister of Women Affairs; Lola Ade-John, Minister of Tourism; Prof Tahir Mamman, Minister of Education; Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, Minister of State, Housing and Urban Development, and Dr. Jamila Bio Ibrahim, Minister of Youth Development.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, confirmed the development on Wednesday.
He said that the President also changed the nomenclature of the Ministry of Niger Delta, renaming it Ministry of Regional Development.
Also appointed were the former minister of sports development, Mr. Sunday Dare, who is now special Adviser to the President on Public Communication and National Orientation to work with the Minister of Information and National Orientation.
Also appointed is the wife of the former Biafra WarLord, Odimegwu Ojukwu, Ambassador Franca Ojukwu, who is now to serve as the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
Stonix News recalled that President Tinubu had threatened to sack some of his ministers found to have under performed in the last one year since the administration kicked off.
