The rally

The Hope Walk began from McDermott Junction in Igbudu area of Warri as party faithful matched to Deco Junction, Okumagba Avenue, Estate, Okere Market and Odion Road where the Commodore Nesiama Campaign Office Secretariat was inaugurated by Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of NNPP.

In a chat with newsmen, the Delta South Senatorial Candidate of NNPP, Commodore Omatseye Nesiama (retd), urged the electorate, especially the people of Delta South Senatorial District to obtain and secure their Personal Voter Cards (PVCs).

Speaking at the rally, the retired naval officer said  “The movement was to sensitize the people about the need for them, having registered, to pick up their PVCs because without the PVC’s, you do not have any right.

“You have forefeited your rights to decide on who actually needs you.

“I want to encourage them, just like the zeal that they came up during the registration exercise, that zeal again should be rekindled to the collection of PVCs,” he admonished.

He noted that the forthcoming election is not a do-or-die one, adding that “the peoples interest is now rekindled by the presence of people like us in the race and that does not call for a do-or-die.

“That calls for true exercise of your voting rights and ensuring that, that your vote counts.

“And you ensuring that you protect your vote. That is the aspect of do but not to die.”

Earlier, Commodore Nesiama had expressed happiness at the presence of Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso who inaugurated the secretariat of his campaign organization in Warri, stressing that, “it means he values whatever we are doing here.”
