AN Anambra-based legal practitioner, Barrister Rolex Ifeanyi Iloakasia, was attacked and shot dead by unknown gunmen along with his client in Nanka/Agulu border a short distance from the court in Nanka town.
According to eye witness accounts, after the court sitting, the popular Anambra-based lawyer and President General of Aguleri Community entered his car with the client he is defending when some unknown gunmen double crossed them at Nanka-Agulu boundary on their way back to Awka, shooting him along with the client he’s defending and immediately left with their motorbike.
The incident is believed to be a targeted attack.
The police, as of press time, were yet to make statements on the issue which has thrown the Aguleri community and friends of barrister Rolex into deep confusion.
