THE Police in Ondo State on Tuesday said it had arrested two persons in connection with the death of a man,
A man, Abiodun Akintomowo, has reportedly passed on top of his girlfriend after a sex romp in a hotel in Ondo town, Ondo State.
The incident, which occurred on Sunday, happened at a hotel located at Akinjagunla area of Ondo Town.
The state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, confirmed the incident to journalists in Akure
She added that two suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Odunlami-Omisanya, however, declined to reveal the identity of the suspects, who are possibly the deceased’s girlfriend and the owner of the hotel.
“The man (deceased) was not feeling alright after the sexual intercourse with the lady in the hotel, so he was rushed to the hospital and later died.
“Investigation into the matter is still ongoing while the remains of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue of the hospital in the town.
“The two suspects are in police custody,” she said.
It was, however, gathered that the woman raised the alarm after the deceased collapsed in the hotel room after the alleged sex romp.
“The woman raised the alarm after realising that the man collapsed, the manager of the hotel and some residents raced to the scene and made frantic efforts to rescue the man. He was later confirmed dead,” a source noted.
The management of the hotel was said to have later reported the matter at the Yaba Divisional Police Station in the town.
