Pastor Chris Declares Modern Toilets ‘Wrong Design,’ Demonstrates Biblical Way To Defecate

IT was an unusual but thought-provoking moment at the Healing Streams Live Healing Service (October Edition) on Saturday, as Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, Founder and President of LoveWorld Incorporated (Christ Embassy), took his global audience on an unexpected journey into a biblical and health-related revelation — on how to defecate.

In his characteristic style of blending scripture, science, and spiritual insight, Pastor Chris began by saying, “I said I wanted to tell you something yesterday. Do you really want to hear?” As the congregation responded with excitement, he continued, “Yeah! I do say things that, maybe, nobody else would ever tell you.”

The world-renowned healing minister then addressed what he described as a rarely discussed yet important issue: problems people face when visiting the restroom. “There are many people who are having problems when they go to the restroom. Nobody talks about what anybody does, right? But a lot of people experience painful defecation, blood, and haemorrhoids,” he said.

Obviously citing Deuteronomy 23:12–14, Pastor Chris drew attention to how God gave the Israelites explicit instructions on sanitation. He said “He told them when they went out, He said to them, ‘dig in the ground, outside the camp… I don’t want to see any dirty thing when I come inside the camp.’ That’s what God said…. God is great.”

The pastor went further to demonstrate — with the help of a male member and a chair — the physical posture God’s instruction implied. He contrasted the squatting position prescribed in Scripture with the sitting position adopted on modern toilets.

“He’s showing them what position to assume when they defecate because He told them to dig the ground,” Pastor Chris explained, before illustrating how squatting aligns the rectum and anal canal for easier bowel movement. “This position aligns the rectum with the anal canal, relaxing the muscles and facilitating smoother movement,” he said.

If you must seat on the modern toilet, sit this way

Critiquing modern toilet designs, Pastor Chris declared, “The design of the toilets is wrong. It’s for convenience but not helpful. This is the reason people are having difficulties with their backs, piles, and haemorrhoids. They sit in the toilet for 30 minutes, one hour, and are struggling… shouting ‘Jesus!’”

He offered a practical solution: “What should they do? Get as close as possible to the natural way. You can raise your legs on a small stool or bend forward. Within the first few minutes, whatever would want to come out will come out.”

In his closing remarks, Pastor Chris encouraged attendees to test his counsel scientifically: “Now some of you are scientists, doctors — you’re free to put what I said to the test. I never mind being challenged. I’m saying and declaring that the current toilet design is wrong! Do what I just told you, and your life will change very quickly.”
