Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting

CONTROVERSIAL Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin of the popular Christ Mercyland Deliverance Ministry in Warri, Delta State, on Tuesday, gave a reason for the inferno that engulfed his church auditorium.

Stonix News reports that the fire incident occurred on Tuesday, destroying properties worth a fortune.

According to the acclaimed Ijaw-born seer, the fire, which sent panic across the length and breadth of the expansive and sprawling camp ground, was nothing but the fiery anger of God.

The inferno

The church ground is situated some kilometres shy of popular Effurun Roundabout in Uvwie Local Government Area of the state.

An earlier video footage of the raging inferno of a church structure in the expansive camp ground had gone viral on Tuesday.

But hours after the fire incident, Prophet Fufeyin, who’s the founder and General Overseer of the ministry, confirmed the development also in a video clip on his official Facebook page on Tuesday.

The self-styled Warri TB Joshua, who said that no life was lost, claimed that the fire incident was orchestrated by God Himself, who had earlier given instructed him to build a church auditorium.

He said God’s anger over his disobedience to the instruction might have been the reason for the fire and its attendant losses.

“If I was not expecting this incident before, I would have asked God questions. God told me this thing is coming.

“The Lord had told me: ‘Go and build my house. Where you are using currently is not a church house, it is just a partner house,” he claimed in the video footage.

He acknowledged that his seeming delay in obeying God’s instruction was responsible, adding that he was ready to act as instructed by God to avert further tragedies.
