OLUMIDE Bakare, born on November 26, 1953, was a renowned Nollywood actor.
He launched his acting career with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in the sitcom “Koko Close,” where he played the iconic role of Chief Koko.

A devoted Christian since 1998, Bakare was known for his memorable performances, often playing the roles of wealthy chiefs or sugar daddies.
His impressive filmography includes award-winning projects like “Edun Ara,” “Maami,” “Last Flight to Abuja,” “Kofo the First Lady,” and “Ise Onise,” among others.

Sadly, Olumide Bakare passed away on April 22, 2017, due to complications from Dissecting Aortic Aneurysm and Pulmonary Embolism.

His legacy continues to be celebrated in the Nigerian film industry.
