THE Christian community in Nigeria is mourning the sudden death of Rev. Azzaman David, a respected cleric and Christian faith advocate known for his bold online engagements and spirited interfaith debates, particularly on Facebook.
Rev. Azzaman, the leading pastor of The King Worship Chapel and Ministry, Inc. in Kaduna, Kaduna State, was reported to have died on Saturday after a ghastly motor accident on his way back to Kaduna from Makurdi, Benue State.
Details of the incident, as of press time, remained sketchy, but a source close to the family, Rev. Mohammed Mohammed, confirmed that he passed away at the scene.
“REV Azzaman Azzaman had an accident on his way back from Makurdi. He died alone in the car. May he rest in peace. May the Lord comfort us in the name of Jesus,” Rev. Mohammed said in a post on Facebook.
He was widely recognised for his deep knowledge of Christian theology and unwavering defence of the faith in public discourse.
