A 49-year-old father, Bola Amoda, has been arrested for sleeping with his daughter and converting her to a prostitute for monetary rewards.
Stonix News reports that the heinous crime has led to an unwanted pregnancy of the 14-year-old daughter.
Amoda was arrested by operatives of the Ogun State Police Command after the teenager lodged a complaint at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Ode Remo, Ogun State.
The suspect was a resident of Idi Oro Street, Ode Remo in Remo North Local Government Area of the state.
He was arrested on August 17, 2022.
The 14-year-old girl had informed the police that her father not only made love to her, but equally invited five different men at different times to sleep with her and collect money.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, in a statement on Sunday, said that the Divisional Police Officer, Olayemi Fasogbon, mobilised detectives upon the information which led to the arrest of the suspect.
According to him, the suspect, in his statement, confessed to the crime.
He said his confession further led to the arrest of five others who had slept with the girl at different times on the invitation of the father.
The five suspects arrested were; Ahmed Ogunkoya (30); Muyiwa Adeoye (48); David Sunday Solaja (69); Emmanuel Olusanya (50) and Joshua Olaniran.
Oyeyemi further explained that all the suspects had confessed to having slept with the girl and paid money to the father.
The victim’s mother is said to have been separated from the father years back.
The victim, however, is said to be confirmed pregnant at the State General Hospital, Isara Remo, where she was taken to for medical examination.
