A tragic incident occured in Onicha Ngwa community in Abia State, Nigeria, when a 40-year-old man, Udochi Amala, set his entire family, including himself, on fire.
Stonix News reports that in the early hours of Saturday, Udochi, who suspected his wife, Amarachi Amala, was having an extramarital affairs, reportedly poured fuel on himself, his wife, and their three children in a devastating incident that left the entire residents of Obingwa Local Government Area in distress.
Although the mother and her children were rushed to a nearby hospital, but they lost their lives on Monday as a result of the severe injuries they sustained.
Udochi, who survived the fire and attempted to flee from the scene, was caught and handed over to the police.
“I have an issue with my wife, and I did not know that it would get to this extent. I am tired of this life,” Udochi said, adding that he “had no proof that his wife was cheating.”
As of press time, the incident had been confirmed by the State’s Police Command, and investigation was ongoing.
