FORMER Super Eagles international and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Sam Sodje, has congratulated Chief Solomon Arenyeka on his unanimous election as Chairman of the party in Delta State, describing him as worthy of the office.
Stonix News reports that Chief Arenyeka emerged as Chairman during the much-anticipated Delta State APC Congress held in Asaba, the state capital, on Tuesday afternoon.
The congress, which drew a large and enthusiastic crowd of party faithful from across the state, was conducted peacefully and culminated in the election of new executive officers who will pilot the affairs of the party in the coming years.
In a statement following the exercise, excited Sodje praised the transparent and orderly conduct of the congress, noting that the overwhelming support for Chief Arenyeka reflected the confidence party members repose in his leadership.
He described the new chairman as a well-known and respected figure in Delta State’s political landscape, adding that his credibility and capacity to manage the party’s affairs are beyond question.
“I am confident that Mr Chairman will lead and pilot the affairs of the party to success in the next election cycle,” Sodje said.
He expressed optimism that the party under Arenyeka’s stewardship would record significant victories to the benefit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Sodje further extended his personal congratulations to Chief Arenyeka, whom he described as an elder brother, wishing him divine guidance and protection as he begins his tenure.
“Once again, a very big congratulations, Mr Chairman. May your tenure be successful and rewarding for everyone in Delta State in particular and Nigeria in general,” he stated.
