SCORES of students of the Federal University Gusau, Zamfara State, Nigeria have been kidnapped by suspected terrorists in the early hours of Friday.
Stonix News gathered that the bandits, who were in large numbers, stormed the students’ off-campus residences in the village, abducting students mostly females.
The bandits reportedly invaded the area around 4:00a.m on Friday and attacked three students’ hostels.
They were said to have abducted the the students leaving behind villagers.
“Many of the kidnapped students were females, while other students were able to escape to the bush”.
“When they arrived the village, they went straight to the students [off campuses] and started shooting sporadically.
“They later broke into the campuses and brought a number of students who are mostly females,” an indigene of Sabon Gida village, Abubakar Sani, had told The Punch.
No official comment from the school and police authorities yet.
