SENATOR representing Kogi Central in the Nigerian Senate, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, says she divulged the sexual moves of Senator Godswill Akpabio so that she could be freed to perform her legislative duties.
She gave the clarification during a live chat with Seun Okinbaloye on Channels Television Politics Today edition on Thursday which was monitored by Stonix News.
When asked why she chose to blow the lid before the world, Natasha said she has no ulterior motive nor the plan to seek compensation over the accusation.

“I just wanted him to allow me to do my job. I have no intention to seek compensation, but that he would leave alone to do the job I’m elected to do,” she submitted.
Speaking on if she’s armed with evidence against Senator Akpabio, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan said she would soon present evidence of sexual harassment against the Senate President.
“At the right time and in the right space, I will present the evidence that I have,” the female lawmaker said.
While commending INEC for throwing out the recall petition against her, the senator said though belated, the decision of the electoral umpire to reject the petition for her recall was in the right direction.
The female lawmaker, however, said that the electoral umpire should have thrown out the petition long before it did on April 3, 2025.
She accused Senate President Akpabio, Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo and ex-governor Yahaya Bello of sponsoring her failed recall.
