THE Alema of Warri Kingdom, High Chief Emmanuel Oritsejolomi Uduaghan, has called on the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and the Nigerian Senate to respect his wife, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
In a statement released in Warri, Delta State, on Saturday evening, Chief Uduaghan expressed concern over his wife’s ongoing dispute with the Senate President, revealing that despite efforts to resolve the matter amicably, she continues to face harassment.

“My wife was duly elected by her people because of the immense love, respect, and confidence they have in her,” he stated. “She is a devoted wife, and the bond we share is deep and unwavering.”
He disclosed that, upon learning of the situation, he met with Senator Akpabio—whom he considered a family friend—and urged him to treat his wife with respect. “We reached an understanding to settle the issue amicably,” he said.
However, Chief Uduaghan lamented that despite this agreement, his wife remains troubled by continued harassment.
“I have unwavering faith in my wife’s loyalty, and I am fully committed to our marriage, which is built on love, compassion, and mutual respect,” he affirmed.
Calling on the Senate to uphold the dignity of its members, the Warri chief urged its leadership to ensure that his wife receives the respect she deserves while legal proceedings on the matter continue.
