POSSIBLE deaths have been recorded on Thursday as a 40ft container fell on commercial vehicles traveling by the Cele Bus Stop along the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, Lagos State.
Stonix News gathered that a driver of one of the popular yellow commercial buses (danfo), which the container fell on, was immediately confirmed dead while the other two managed to escape.
It could not be ascertained as of press time if the bus in which the deceased driver was pulled out had other passengers trapped in it.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority confirmed the incident on Thursday afternoon.
It said the accident happened at the main carriageway of PM Gas Station inward Cele Express.
“It involved an upturned 40ft container on a commercial bus.
“Police officers from Ilasa Division are on the ground doing the needful and also effort is on for recovery,” the agency wrote on its official Facebook page.
