A new exquisite five-star hotel has been opened for operations on Friday at Jeddo in Okpe Local Government Area, Delta State, in a bit to boost the economy of the state.

The hotel, PEB Global Hotel owned by Dr. Paul Bebenimibo, Publisher of PEBNEWS and former DESOPADEC Commissioner, is expected to significantly reduce the unemployment rate and boost the hospitality industry in the state.
This was disclosed by the chairman of the occasion, High Chief Mcdonald Igbadiwei, in his opening speech during the inauguration.
Igbadiwei commended Dr. Bebenimibo for assisting the state government in lowering the unemployment rate and boosting the hospitality sector.
The legislator from Bayelsa State claimed that the hotel’s launch would guarantee the Jeddo community’s economic expansion and growth.
He urged Deltans and Nigerians to book private and business meetings at the magnificent hotel to encourage the owner to do more.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Bebenimibo said, “This edifice you’re seeing here today, the project started two years ago; we thank God Almighty for His grace in putting up this project.
“We are set for business; in projects like this, we all know that it plays some vital role in society. It’s part of boosting Okpe, Warri, and Effurun hospitality business.
“By God’s grace, this will open more doors to the hospitality business in this environment.”
In a chat with Dr Clarkson Agagha, a special guest at the event, he said, “I’m extremely happy because this project is not just for the development of this area, but equally for the economic factor.
“It is contributing to the basic needs of the unemployment of the country. Because people from this area will be engaged as well.”
One of the staff, who craved anonymity, commended the management, stressing that she was a teacher with a low salary at a private school before disengaging to work at PEB Global Hotel because it offers better remuneration and staff welfare.
Stonix News reports that many dignitaries were at the Inauguration including some members of the Warri Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
