FLEEING cult suspects hiding in the ceiling of their house have been arrested by operatives of the Delta State Police Command.
The suspects, believed to be armed robbery suspects, too, included Chigozie Edwin, 28 years old from Akpuoga Village in Ujodo LGA of Enugu State, James Prince Chukwuebuka, 20 years old from Effiom Village in Ezza North LGA of Ebonyi State, Harmony Mkemjika Ohanebum, 30 years old from Okija town in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State, and Garba Jubril, 27 years old from Kogmbotō LGA, Kano State.
They were said to be conducting some nefarious cultist activities in a hotel by Federal Colleges Junction, Asaba, when, via intelligence, operatives of CP – DECOY Squad swooped on them.
“Following the arrest of these suspects, a thorough search was conducted, and two Beretta pistols with two rounds of live ammunition, a locally-made cut-to-size gun with one live cartridge, were recovered from the ceiling,” Bright Edafe, the police image maker, noted in a statement.
He said police operatives were after other fleeing ones and would be brought to book.
