Fire: Oyakhilome Promises Better, Glorious Church Auditorium

PRESIDENT and founder of LoveWorld Incorporated, aka Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, says the fire incident at the church’s headquarters in Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos, will usher in a better, glorious church auditorium.

For him, the inferno that engulfed the headquarters on Sunday morning is not a setback, but an opportunity for greater things to come.

The inferno

Pastor Oyakhilome made the statement while addressing the incident during a live Sunday service at the church’s campground in Asese.

“Nothing happens in the life of a child of God by accident,” he asserted.

Recalling a previous near-catastrophe, he added, “During the 2001 Ikeja cantonment bombing incident, the building vibrated so much and we thought it was going to collapse.

“I thought to myself that if it collapsed, I was going to build a bigger, better one.

“At the end of the day, it didn’t collapse and we called the engineers to see if there was any need to bring it down and rebuild but it was still okay.”

Speaking on the Sunday inferno, he continued, “Now that this has happened, we will build a bigger, better, and more glorious one and the devil will lick his wounds.”

Stonix News gathered that the Lagos Fire Service responded promptly to the fire, and no casualties have been reported so far.
