OYO State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has celebrated notable media practitioners in the state’s media by presenting awards and gifts in a ceremony held at his Ikolaba residence in Ibadan.
The Founder and CEO of Fresh FM Nigeria, Dr. Yinka Ayefele, MON, was honored with the Ambassador of Christ Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to gospel music and support for the Omituntun Mega Praise Concert.
Governor Makinde praised Dr. Ayefele’s consistent dedication to promoting positive values through his craft.
At the event, two prominent radio broadcasters with Fresh FM Nigeria, Dr. Enitan Olusegun Bamidele (EOB) and Komolafe Olaiya, were recognized for their exemplary roles in event coordination and broadcasting.
In fulfillment of a two-year-old pledge, Governor Makinde presented each of them with a brand-new 2024 Chery Tigo saloon car, valued at 36 million Naira.
The presentation took place during the 2024 Prayer and Interactive Session, an event where the governor, his family, and stakeholders gathered to reflect on the year ahead.
Speaking at the occasion, Governor Makinde commended the honorees for their contributions to the state’s cultural and social development through their talents and professionalism.
