2023: Rather Than Tinubu, I’ll Vote Osinbajo, Clark Blows Hot

Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting

Elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark has declared that he would rather vote VP Yemi Osinbajo than former Lagos State governor, Bola Tinubu in a presidential contest.

He made the declaration while featuring on Arise TV, Abuja.

The leader of Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) cautioned Tinubu, an All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, against contesting in 2023.

Clark said Tinubu should rather go and rest despite coming from the most sophisticated region of Nigeria.

The former Minister of Information described Osinbajo as an intelligent professor who has the qualities to rule Nigeria in 2023.

Amid rumours that former President Goodluck Jonathan would be making a comeback, the Ijaw leader says he wasn’t aware of such plans.

“I’m not aware of Jonathan running for presidency. I’m a father to him and he has not informed me about such intentions.

“The South-West is the most educated and sophisticated people in Nigeria, but Tinubu should go and rest.

“Other than the Igbos, I would vote for the Vice President; he is an intelligent fellow.

“How many times have we heard Tinubu talking about the affairs of this nation or criticizing those in power,?” he queried.

Stonix News reports that Tinubu had recently announced his intention to contest for president in 2023.

The APC chieftain had informed President Muhammadu Buhari that his decision to run for the presidency was a lifelong ambition.

His declaration has stirred the hornet nest with vicious opposition and endorsement in various quarters.
