Armed Man On Way To Avenge Cult’s Attack On Sister Arrested

A suspected cultist armed with dangerous weapons allegedly going to avenge an attack on his sister by some cult members have been arrested.

The suspect, Chukwuma Owoh, 26, was arrested in company of Ediri Ogendengbe, 32, and Alfred Kess, 38, by operatives of the Delta State Police Command.

They were caught with a shotgun and cartridges in Warri.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bright Edafe and made available to Stonix News on Wednesday.

He said Chukwuma Owoh, had confessed that he bought the gun from one Haruna of Hausa Quarters, Warri.

According to Edafe, Owoh said he was on his way to Pessu in search of some Aiye confraternity cult members who had attacked his younger sister.

He said the apprehended suspects were in custody and investigation, ongoing.

DSP Edafe quoted CP Ari Muhammed Ali as urging officers and men of the command to sustain the tempo against criminality in the state.

He also “admonished them to be polite and civil to members of the public while on duty as incivility to members of the public will not be tolerated under his watch.”
