Operatives of the Anti-kidnapping unit, Bayelsa State Command, have nabbed a notorious armed robbery suspect, one Keme Azorobor.
The suspect, who had been involved in various robbery activities in Yenegoa and its environs, has been in the command’s wanted list for quite some time.
This was contained in a statement signed by the command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Superintendent of Police, SP Asinim Butswat and made available to Stonix News on Monday, July 25, 2022.
The 27-year-old Azorobor was apprehended during a clearance operation at Otiotio Road, Yenagoa on Sunday night.
A locally-made pistol loaded with one live cartridge was recovered from him when he was searched.
He has confessed to the level of his involvement in various armed robbery cases being investigated against him and his cohorts, who are now at large, according to the statement.
Manhunt for the arrest of his gang is ongoing, the statement further stated.
