BREAKING: Jubilation As Kidnapped Ogori Bride-To-Be, Two Others Released
Ola ‘Kiya, Reporting
Kidnapped Ogori Bride-To-Be, Miss Deborah Ijese Afolabi, and two others, who were kidnapped on Thursday at about 9:00p.m along Ageva-Magongo road in Kogi State, have been released by their abductors.
This is coming barely three days after their ignoble abduction.
Stonix News, which broke the kidnap saga on Friday, had reported that Miss Afolabi was billed for her wedding to her heartthrob, Augustin Alariogun Ibrahim, 10:00a.m on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2021 at Ogori before the incident.
But as of 8:30p.m today Saturday, December 18, 2021, ecstatic jubilation is said to be ongoing at the family house of the bride at Enibe Quarters as well as the entire Ogori over the release and safe arrival of the trio.
A source from Ogori, whose house is a stone-throw from the family house of one of the released abducted persons, confirmed to our correspondent that they were already home.
He, however, disclosed that N250, 000 ransom was coughed up and sent to the kidnappers before their release could be effected.
The kidnappers, it will be recalled, had demanded a whopping N30 million shortly after their kidnap on Thursday December 16, 2021, but later reduced the money to N250,000 after much pleas and haggling.
The Kogi State Police Command has yet to officially react to the kidnap saga since the incident on Thursday.
It will be recalled also that the chairman of Ogori-Magongo Local Government Area, Mr Goke Oparison, was said to have led the team which rallied round to ensure the release of the victims.
