FOOTBALL governing body in Africa, CAF, has reportedly concluded the arrangement to move its headquarters away from the city of Cairo, Egypt.
According to a press release from the Egyptian Ministry of Sports, CAF will have to build a new headquarters in the northern part of the R3 zone:
“The said new capital will thus house a building on 8 hectares of land in the northern part of the R3 zone.

“The move of CAF headquarters to the new administrative capital confirms Egypt’s status as the Mecca of Africa and the world, demonstrating its progress in sports infrastructure,” part of the statement reads.
Reacting to the development, CAF president Patrice Motsepe said:
“My wish has always been to keep the CAF headquarters in Egypt, and it must stay in Egypt.
“The construction of a new CAF headquarters east of Cairo demonstrates the Confederation’s gratitude to the administrative capital.”
Since Its creation in 1957, Egypt has hosted the headquarters of CAF.
Stonix News gathered that Egypt and the governing body recently had an agreement to extend the Confederation’s lease for ten more years.
