Stonix News reports that Dr. Koffa, of Set 1999, was the Key Speaker at the 2022 Prize-Giving Day of the school held on Saturday, July 23 at the school’s multipurpose hall.
He urged the graduands to uniquely evolve, stay focussed and true to their dreams as that, according to him, is the only way to actualize them.

“My first charge to you is to dream big. I recall when I graduated, my head and my heart were filled with dreams.
“Some of these dreams have been achieved and I am still on the journey toward achieving others; the point to note is that it is very important to have a dream.

“Let your dream be BIG, but equally important, let your dream be YOURS.
“We are all created unique and blessed with personalized ideas that can make our families, schools, state, country, and, indeed, the world a better place.
“Unfortunately, some people never get the opportunity to actualize their dreams.

“For some, they are snatched away from this earth before their time; the graves are filled with millions of unactualized dreams,
“I pray that this shall not be the portion of any of you seated here,” he wished.

Meanwhile, chairman of the occasion, Mr Emmanuel Bola Boro, a retired Director, Kogi State Civil Service, decried the gradual dwindling fortunes of the school, especially in the areas of discipline, dignity of labour and high moral values the school was once known for.

“I’m not in anyway impressed with what is happening in this school now.
“The fame of this school is fading. It is no longer disciplined like the way it was in the early 80s,” he lamented.
While commending the efforts of the alumni members in improving the physical structure, he opined that same could not be said about the moral rectitude of the school.
Mr Boro, therefore, called for a sober reflection and the need for a deliberate and concerted effort to re-engineer the school and restore its lost glory in all ramifications.
