There’s palpable anxiety as gunmen, on Sunday, killed a mother and her four children as well as two others at locations in Anambra State.
The deceased mother and her four children were hacked to death at Isulo, Orumba North Local Government Area of the state.
The two others were killed at Abatete in Idemili North local Government Area, while another man was killed at Nanka Orumba North Local Government Area in Anambra State.
Witnesses said that the gunmen invaded those areas and opened fire on the victims and dissolved into thin air.
The State’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ikenga Tochukwu, said the details were sketchy.
However a security source said the deceased woman and her four children were not likely Igbos.
Stonix News had reported that a member of the state’s House of Assembly, Hon Okoye’s bodiless head was found hanging by a street after gunmen kidnapped him few days earlier.
