Houston Police Investigate Fatal Shooting Of Man Found Dead In Truck

A fatal shooting is under investigation by the Houston Police Department after a man was found dead in a crashed truck on Monday morning.

The incident, Stonix News learnt, occurred at approximately 3:45 a.m. in the 8700 block of Leycrest Road, where a 911 caller reported hearing gunshots.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a truck that had crashed into a ditch. Further investigation revealed a 24-year-old man inside the vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been officially confirmed, pending verification by the medical examiner’s office.

According to HPD, nearby residents reported hearing gunshots and the sound of the truck’s engine accelerating.

Homicide investigators are currently working on the case; however, no witnesses or suspect descriptions have been identified at this time.
