A 24-year-old student at the Islamic University of Gaza is among about 30 family members sheltering in a four-room house in Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
During an exclusive interview with our source, Younes Elhallaq revealed that they are running out of resources and are also living in fear.
“The situation is really miserable. No electricity, no internet, no food, no water.
“They all told us to go to the south because it’s going to be secure and safe or something, but no… Everything here in Gaza is targeted.
“Sometimes you kind of sleep two hours, three hours, and then we hear the bombs everywhere,” he lamented.
“Our day and night is hell,” his 22-year-old sister-in-law, Batoul Abu Ali, added.
