THE families of Aina and Aina have announced the passage and funeral rites of their wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunty and friend, Madam Janet Aina (NEE Aina).
This is contained in a burial invitation card made available to Stonix News on Sunday in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Generous to a fault, Madam Aina, whose age is believed to be over 104, hailed from Ile-Otun, Odoiye and Ilaro Quarters, Aiyede Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The Wake and Service of Songs for the deceased will hold 5:00p.m to 6:00p.m on Thursday December 15 at The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Peculiar People’s Parish, Akintoba Street, Agbowo, Ibadan, Oyo State.
This will be followed by the Funeral and Thanksgiving Service at 10:00a.m on Friday December 16, 2022, also at RCCG, Peculiar People’s Parish, Akintoba Street, Agbowo, Ibadan.
According to the invite, the centenarian will be laid to rest on December 16, 2022, at the Saviour’s African Church Cemetery, Oke Itunu, Alaro, Ibadan.
Entertainment of guests follows immediately at the University of Ibadan (UI), Alumni Centre, Ibadan.
Madam Janet Aina, a dedicated and fervent Christian, joined the Saints Triumphant on November 7, 2022, in Ibadan where she had lived for over 40 years after sojourning from her cradle, Aiyede-Ekiti.
She was survived by children and grandchildren among whom is Dr Mrs Bukola Adebayo-Tayo of the Department of Microbiology, University of Ibadan.
