Some of the banks sighted were Sterling Bank and United Bank Of Africa (UBA) along Warri/Sapele Road close to Igbo Market in Warri South Local Government Area.

Others like Premium Trust Bank and First Bank among others along Airport Road were also under lock and key.

Few persons were seen outside these banks with their doors closed and customers not allowed access to the premises.

A lady among those keeping vigil outside one of the banks, was heard saying she came to complain about a failed PoS transaction and she was not allowed inside the bank since morning.

Stonix News reports that cashing out through ATMs is still extant while PoS operators charge as much as N300 for N1000 in Warri and environs.
