NBA Suspends Cavaliers’ Forward For Violating Drug Policy

Micheal Chukwuebuka, Reporting

THE NBA has suspended Tristan Thompson for 25 games for violating league drug policy.

According to an NBA statement, the 32-year-old Cleveland Cavaliers forward tested positive for performance enhancing ibutamoren and SARM LGD-4033.

The Cavaliers, in a statement, said they fully support the NBA‘s anti-drug programs and are disappointed in the recent news surrounding Tristan Thompson.

“His time away from game action will have an impact on our team.

“We stand behind Tristan and offer our support throughout this suspension period,” Cavaliers said.

During his suspension, according to Cavaliers, Thompson can still practice and travel with the team. On game days, both home and away, he’ll be allowed to be inside the arena up until two hours before tipoff.

Thompson is better known as Khloé Kardashian’s former boyfriend and father of her two children.
