THE San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting in a city few miles from Half Moon Bay, California.
In a news release, the sheriff’s office said the suspect, Orlando MontelongoChavarin, 18, was arrested on charges of attempted murder, as well as shooting into an occupied vehicle.
According to the release, a male victim sustained gunshot wounds at an affordable housing community for farmworkers in unincorporated San Mateo County Coast.
Stonix News gathered that deputies responded to a report of a shooting in the Moonridge housing community, where a victim with gunshot wounds was found and taken to the hospital.
After they identified MontelongoChavarin as the suspect, authorities obtained a warrant and took him into custody.
MontelongoChavarin is being held without bail at the Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City.
He has not entered a plea, and a hearing, as of when filing this report, had not been scheduled.
