NCS Transfers Bobrisky To Kirikiri Prison

Rita Enemuru, Reporting

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) has confirmed the transfer of controversial cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye popularly known as Bobrisky to Kirikiri Prison in Lagos State.

It was gathered that the NCS transferred Bobrisky from the Ikoyi Correctional Center where he was kept last weekend.

Stonix News reported how Bobrisky was sentenced to six months jail term by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos on crimes bordering on Naira mutilation on Friday, April 12, 2024.

According to a reliable source within the NCS, Bobrisky was transferred to Kirikiri due to procedural reasons and security concerns.

The source emphasized that Kirikiri offers a more expansive facility compared to Ikoyi, making it a suitable location for Bobrisky’s incarceration.

Upon his identification as a male during the court proceedings and reports indicating no gender realignment, he has been placed in the male cell alongside other inmates at Kirikiri Prison.

The NCS source noted that the self acclaimed ‘Mummy of Lagos’ will be treated like any other inmate during his term.

He said, “It is procedural that he is moved to Kirikiri since it is an expansive prison compared to what we have here.”

He added that due to security reasons, Okuneye was quietly moved to the facility where he will serve his term.
