‘I Feel Too Much Darkness’ — Guinness World Record Holder Tunde Onakoya Quits X

By Micheal Chukwuebuka

GUINNESS World Record holder Tunde Onakoya has announced he is taking a break from the social media platform X, citing the overwhelming negativity he encounters there.

The Nigerian chess champion made the announcement in a post on his official handle, explaining that he needed to “guard my heart.”

“I feel too much darkness in the world pressing in. I will be stepping away for a while,” he wrote.

Onakoya told fans he remains reachable via email for important matters and added that he would continue to share his thoughts on Instagram.

His decision comes just five months after he achieved global recognition by breaking the record for the longest chess marathon.
